EA has created a companion app for its new Ice Hockey game, NHL 13, enhancing the game’s online GM Connected mode.
The Connected mode allows gamers to compete alongside their friends and enemies in a 30-team league. The companion app is, according to EA, to ensure that players “never miss a single moment” of the action.
Using the free iOS app players can make trade offers, view player and team statistics, negotiate deals via a “League Messaging” feature and stay up to date with the latest news, scores, standings etc. The app also supports the game’s Hockey Ultimate Team mode.
